Blackbird Holiday Party, March Edition (Let the Games Begin)

The people who thrive at Blackbird are defined by a few common traits:

  • We’re competitive.

  • We respect the craft.

  • We don’t stick to prescribed best practices when we can find better options.

Every one of those attributes was in full force for Blackbird’s 2024 holiday party, celebrated in the first weekend of March in some of San Francisco’s finest establishments.

Happy holidays, March-style.

With March Madness looming on the horizon, and with all of our clients’ big Q4 campaigns wrapped up in a high-performance bow, these two days were the perfect time to bring the Blackbird team together from far and wide for Pop-a-Shot, foosball (no spinning allowed, per rules of the craft), Skee Ball, and more. Along with an intense three-team tournament and plenty of great food and beverages, we celebrated an award-winning year that put us on the map as one of the best digital marketing agencies around.

But back to that tournament…

This was serious business.

Blackbirdies were divided (more or less) evenly into three teams: House Audience Network, House Budget Cap, and House Search Partners. Each team brought spirit, togetherness, and what we will simply call a range of skills.

In the end, while nobody will remember who won, great times were had by all — and everyone on the team identified a few new skills to develop according to Blackbird’s training regimen.
